TH 95 Reconstruction Project - Downtown Business and Building Owners are Invited to Provide Input

Owners of a downtown business or building, are invited to attend a meeting hosted by The City of Cambridge and MnDOT to discuss the proposed TH 95 reconstruction project.

The meeting will be held on February 2nd from 4:00-6:00 pm located at City Hall Council Chambers, 300 3rd Ave. NE, Cambridge, MN 55008.

The meeting will start with a short introduction from MnDOT, and then will open up for input from downtown business and building owners. A public open house will be scheduled in the near future for all stakeholders to participate in.

This project was created to address congestion and safety on TH 95 through the city of Cambridge. MnDOT is working to build upon the results of a study led by the City of Cambridge that concluded in 2017. The result of that study included a layout of proposed improvements to TH 95 from Birch Street South to South Fillmore Street.

MnDOT’s project includes preliminary and final design, including the refinement of the layout generated by the City’s study. As part of the current project, the limits for reconstruction of TH 95 have been extended to Fern Street South at the west end.

The goals of the project include the following: • Provide four-lane continuity • Improve safety and mobility by managing access within the project limits • Minimize Right-of-Way acquisition and impacts to properties

Winter 2022/2023: Preliminary Design
Spring 2023 – Summer 2024: Final Design
2026: Construction
