Cambridge-Isanti High School Seeks Business Partners to Explore Apprenticeship Opportunities for Students
Cambridge-Isanti High School is a primary pipeline for our future employees. With a renewed focus on career-technical and trades, the high school is seeking business partners to explore apprenticeship opportunities for students.
In this video, welding instructor Greg Doom spotlights the growing welding program at CIHS, with more than 190 students in the program, and gives a shout-out to business partners: Arrow Tank & Engineering Co., Schlagel, and Tab and Slot, LLC. "Business owners can grow a young person into a specific field and hopefully that young person can stay with that employer for a long time," Mr. Doom says. "If we could grow partnerships with local businesses, that would really be helpful.”
Trades programs include: a strong automotive, machining, construction and woodworking/cabinet-making program.
