North 65 Chamber of Commerce Announces 2023 Chamber Award Recipients

Awards Presented at Annual Chamber Gala & Awards Dinner

The North 65 Chamber, which represents businesses in Cambridge, Isanti and the surrounding area, held its annual Gala and Awards Dinner on June 8, 2023 with over 200 in attendance on the grounds of the beautiful Erickson Farmstead.

The event featured networking, games, live music, dinner, and the highlight of the evening was the presentation of several awards. “Large Business of the Year” was presented to Minnco Credit Union, while “Small Business of the Year” was presented to Rum River BMX.  Both were named for their community involvement. “Emerging Business of the Year” was awarded to Isanti Family Dental for its growth and innovation.

The “Jon Swanson Legacy Award” was presented to KC Bohn of Rock Steady Boxing, Cambridge.  KC has been an integral part of the Cambridge community for 38 years.  He has touched the lives of countless people in East Central Minnesota through the businesses he owned, employees he mentored, his service on Isanti County Safety Rescue, the fundraisers he organized, and his many hours of volunteer work at his church and in the community.
He continues giving back as the Director of Rock Steady Boxing in Cambridge, which he started in 2019. It is a nonprofit program designed to help slow the effects of Parkinson's disease through a variety of exercise techniques.

Finally, the “Longevity in Business” awards were presented to Cambridge Floral for 75 years in business and Walker Methodist for 75 years in business, with the latter award being accepted by local staff from Walker Methodist Levande.
