Purpose
Provide person-centered, community inclusive support that helps a person develop and maintain essential and personally enriching life experiences. Facilitate occupational development, life enrichment activities and recreational/leisure activities. Provide training and support services including positive approaches to learning, systematic instruction, behavioral intervention, and self-care needs. Provides transportation services for individuals.

Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors.
Essential Functions
PHASE-Industries is looking for a individual who is interested in working with job seekers from the waivered employment service program as an Employment Support Specialist. In this position you would assist in crafting skills and empowering interests effectively and provide interview coaching to increase the opportunity of securing a job. Engage with business leaders on developing and negotiating jobs that align with job seeker's interests and skills. Identifying support needs and putting supports in place with job seekers to obtain and retain employment in the community. Assist job seekers with work related life skills and independent living skills. Employment Support Specialists are focused and person-centered. So, the job search aligns with our job seekers skills and interests-- not applying through relentless job boards.

Must be a self-starter, have the ability to successfully work independently, yet enjoy a strong team environment. Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks with frequent changes in duties. Must have previous experience in management or supervision. Must have a strong desire to train, supervise, and develop persons-centered career planning.. Ability to work with minimal supervision. At least one year previous experience working with adults with intellectual/ physical abilities.
Employment Support Specialist position is Monday through Friday with occasionally possibly a Saturday, Flexible hours, Medical Insurance benefits, Paid Time Off (PTO), No Holidays, use of a company car and laptop.

Other Job Functions
Develop, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in community meetings/events, in-service trainings, workshops, and/or classes as apparent or directed. Keep your supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective program management.
Coordinate program plans and activities with other staff as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach. Learn and effectively & safely utilize evolving technologies and software in the course of providing supports and in performing other job functions (e.g., email communications, use of electronic database and record keeping software, navigation of SharePoint, Microsoft 365, etc.). Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid MN Driver's License with clear driving record
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a MN DHS Background Study
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- CNA experience preferred
