Ice Guidelines - MUST READ IF ATTENDING!
It is very important that the ice surface remains extremely clean. Small pieces of debris, lint or hair can cause the curling stone to deflect off course. These are some guidelines to ensure your curling experience is enjoyable....
- Footwear -MUST carry clean footwear (sneakers) to the club. Soles MUST be clear and all small pieces of debris and dirt must be removed.
- If participants are not wearing “curling” shoes they are required to wear slip-on shoe covers (grippers) provided by the Curling Club. The grippers add a level of safety and stability, and reduces the risk of falling and injury to new curlers.
- Clothing - Wear stretchy or loose-fitting clothing. Clothing must be clean, no pet hair or loose dirt or fibers. Try not to wear fleece. It has a lot of loose fibers.
- The arena is about 35-38 degrees so dress appropriately.
