About Us

For as long as I can remember, I had always dreamed of opening my very own old-fashioned general store. A place the community would love to visit! Well I am happy to say I found it, in Braham, Pie Capital of MN!! As I started to pull it together it took a turn, I was reminded of the story the Legend of the Candy Cane and how it had made such a huge impacked on me and my kids 20 years ago when I first read it to them. It inspired me to take my little ones at the time to help spread the true meaning of the candy cane. I bundled them up put them in a sled and off we went with red bags filled with candy canes, treats and the legend of the candy cane book marks, we hung them on mailboxes throughout the neighborhood every year around Christmas. It inspired me so much I have been filling bags for 20 years and bringing them everywhere I go and handing them to random strangers, watching their face fill with joy when they would receive one. On Christmas Eve my kids and I still go out and deliver little red bags! So! the general store is now filled with old fashioned candy & gifts!! I look foward to meeting each and everyone of you and hopefully many of you who have received a red bag over the years!!
